Highlight/Info Gleaned from the Interview

The SVdP Thrift Store & Donation Center has just moved into a new 11,000 sq. ft location in Downtown Warren. Located between the Warren Flea Market and UHaul, this new site will allow them to provide a greater mix of merchandise as well as expand voucher and service programs. Soft Opening was June 28.

All proceeds from the store go directly to cover the expenses of all SVDP programs and services (see attachment above) although that revenue is not nearly enough to cover the needs of those struggling in the Trumbull County area.

This past year, SVdP has vouchered nearly $46,000 in furniture, clothing, home goods and mattresses. This is in addition to serving more than 70,000 hot, home-cooked meals, thousands of food pantry boxes and emergency housing and rent/utility assistance.

Early 2022 will likely begin a capital campaign to renovate and expand the 90 year old SVdP Dining Hall on Niles Road in Warren as well as a new Community Education Center and Pantry.
