Jenelle Evans’ husband David Eason won’t be facing any animal cruelty charges for allegedly shooting and killing their family dog. Police say they've closed the investigation, and that Evans is now claiming she lied about the incident “for the publicity."
In a press release obtained by Page Six, Columbus County, North Carolina Sheriff’s Office officials say Evans didn’t actually witness the dog being killed, despite the fact that Eason owned up to the incident. After searching the couple’s home, they didn’t find any “blood evidence or any other physical evidence to validate that an animal had been fatally injured on the property.”
So far, there’s no further info on the whereabouts of the dog. And some fansaren’t convinced about Evans’ story, suspecting that she’s changed it up to end the investigation and protect her family.
