On Tuesday (August 4), Meghan Markle celebrated her 39th birthday.
Despite reports of a frosty relationship between the Duchess of Sussex and her in-laws—Prince William and Kate Middleton, in particular—the Royal Family took to social media to wish her a happy birthday. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a photo of Meghan with a child at one of her official royal engagements before stepping down from her position on both Twitter and Instagram. They wrote a brief message, as well. "Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex today!"
The Royal Family's official account shared a photo of Meghan with Queen Elizabeth from their first joint engagement back in 2018, which took place shortly after Meghan and Prince Harry tied the knot.
Like Prince William and Duchess Kate, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla shared a solo shot of Meghan to their social media accounts with a simple "happy birthday" message.
Since stepping down from the positions within the Royal Family, Harry and Meghan have shuttered their own official social media account, so, they haven't been seen publicly responding to the well wishes sent by their family members.
