Maren Morris welcomed son Hayes six months ago, and in a new interview with “CBS This Morning” she opens up about dealing with postpartum depression after his birth, while she was stuck in quarantine due to the coronavirus.
"I'm kind of coming through the tunnel now. I feel back to normal," she shares. "Fortunately, I was able to do phone therapy during the pandemic. ... And [I have] people that love me around me that are like, 'Hey, if you're drowning right now, there's help.' "
Maren says she was overwhelmed with “trying to become a new mother and good parent and do everything right," noting, “you just feel like you suck at every level." It didn’t help that she didn’t have the one thing that always keeps her grounded, her music. She noted, “to not be able to tour and have to furlough my band and crew, it was just a lot."
