How Can you safely celebrate Halloween this year?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its guidelines for this year's holiday amid the global coronavirus pandemic.
says we should avoid high-risk activities, including trick-or-treating, trunk-or-treating, indoor costume parties, and haunted houses.
There are "safer alternatives" that they recommend: Carving pumpkins with family members, decorating your home, hosting a virtual Halloween costume contest, or organizing a scavenger hunt where social distancing guidelines can be followed.
