A small cameo in Adam Sandler’s latest Netflix film “Hubie Halloween” has resulted in a local news anchor in Boston losing her job.
Alaina Pinto shared on social media that she was fired from Boston's WHDH Channel 7 News because the small role “violated my contract.” She added, “I am deeply disappointed and saddened, and I hoped this would not be how things evolved."
In the film, Pinto has a small role as, you guessed it, a morning news anchor. For Halloween her character dresses as Harley Quinn, only to find out the other female on-air talent at her station have done the same.
