The Piggyback Foundation Chocolate Fest: A Sweet Treat for a Sweet Cause

Youngstown, Ohio: Chocolate lovers rejoice! Piggyback Foundation of Youngstown is bringing back their signature fundraiser: The Chocolate Fest. The 2021 Chocolate Fest is slated for Thursday, May 6th at 6:00 p.m. at the Embassy Banquet Center, 5030 Youngstown-Poland Rd, Youngstown, OH 44514

In an effort to be Covid-cautious, the Foundation exchanged an all you can eat buffet with an individually-plated chocolate smorgasbord this year. Each person will receive a 12-inch plate overflowing with chocolate decadence from Mocha House, Abigail’s Bakery, Jimmy’s Italian Specialties, Cheri’s Fudge and Candy, Sparkle Market, and Giannios Chocolates. “We try to offer our guests a variety of chocolate flavors and textures: Oreo, chocolate peanut butter, mint chocolate, and chocolate dipped fruit, just to name a few” says Piggyback Director Janelle Nagy. “We’re serving the chocolate on covered catering plates because I’m not sure anyone will be able to finish the whole thing!” says Nagy.

Tickets are $40 a person or $300 for a reserved table of eight. All tickets include a chocolate smorgasbord platter and pasta dinner.

Cash bar will be available for adult beverages.

The event will also feature basket raffles, 50/50, etc.

Tickets are selling quickly but are still available at www.piggybackyoungstown.com.

Chocolate Fest makes a great ladies night out, date night, or even family fun night. Most notably, it also makes a great Mother’s Day gift!

The Piggyback Foundation of Youngstown helps provide normalcy for children in families facing serious illness. Programs aid family togetherness, academic success, and children’s extra-curricular activities. Since its 2016 inception, the volunteer-based organization has provided over $100,000 worth of goods and services to the Youngstown community. More information about the organization can be found at www.piggybackyoungstown.com
