YSU's Lori Factor Invites You to This Weekend's Summer Festival of the Arts

YSU Summer Festival of the Arts Coordinator, Lori A Factor, was a guest on the Mix Morning Show Monday.

The YSU Summer Festival of the arts begins Thursday with the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church Summerfest, and continues with a juried Art show, entertainment, the Robinson-Shuba Memorial Statue Dedication and Youngstown Wine & Jazz on Saturday.

Youngstown, OH…A weekend of arts, culture and music is planned for July 15-18 as the YSU Summer Festival of the Arts begins at its new location, 229 E. Front Street in Downtown Youngstown. Organizers from Youngstown State University, JAC Management, the City of Youngstown, Mahoning County Convention & Visitors Bureau, St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church announce a variety of events planned for that weekend.
Events include:
  • The St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church Summerfest, Thursday through Sunday, July 15-18, 220 N. Walnut Street
  • YSU Summer Festival of the Arts, Saturday and Sunday, July 17 and 18, at its new location, Wean Park, 229 E. Front Street, Youngstown OH 44503
  • Robinson-Shuba Memorial Statue dedication on Saturday, July 17, 9:00 a.m. at Wean Park
  • Youngstown Wine and Jazz, featuring Jackiem Joyner, Saturday, July 17, Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre, Downtown Youngstown


Over 70 local, regional and national artists have been accepted to the event. As a juried arts show, artists applied to and were evaluated resulting in a curated array of work by fine artists and crafts people. The event will take place July 17 and 18 at its new location, Wean Park, 229 E. Front Street, Youngstown, OH, near the Covelli Centre.
