Vienna, Ohio (February 15, 2022) –Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County (AWL) is celebrating Adopt a Rabbit Month all of February by offering adoption specials. For the remainder of February all rabbit adoptions are “Buy One, Get Bun”! All eligible rabbit pairs can be adopted for just $35. This includes spay/neuter, microchip, and flea and mite prevention. If you already have a rabbit in your home the adoption fee will be half off when you bond your own spayed/neutered rabbit with a shelter rabbit.
Rabbits make wonderful house pets. Most of our adoptable rabbits are already litterbox trained. Rabbits are as playful and silly as any puppy, as independent and curious as a cat, and as loyal and affectionate as a dog. Rabbits are the third most surrendered animal at shelters and AWL has multiple rabbits waiting for adoption and on our waitlist to come into the shelter. Adoption saves two lives: the rabbit you bring home and the rabbit who can take its place at the shelter.
