YOUNGSTOWN CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT's Rayen Early College Middle School Students held a Literacy Essay contest. Five students were chosen to guest on the Mix 989 morning show with host, Gary Rivers
The first student, Kayden H. accompanied his teacher, Melissa Cooper to the studio.
He read his essay about "kindness" to the listeners. Gary invited him to be the "meteorologist" for the morning ---- or, as Gary calls him, "our weather kid".
