Phoenix wedding photographer Laleh Vahedian recently surprised her firefighter husband, Cole Eberson, with a new pickup truck after he’d sold his beloved Jeep Wrangler to fund their wedding. Vahedian, who credits her husband with supporting her dream of becoming a full-time photographer, shared her story in a viral TikTok video that helped her raise enough money for the truck in just two months. The couple was overwhelmed by the support generated by the video, which has been viewed more than 2.5 million times.
Back in 2020, Vahedian was working as a barista and was deeply unhappy until her then-boyfriend encouraged her to quit and pursue photography. Around this time, he selflessly sold his Jeep, which he’d owned since he was 16, to pay for their wedding. In secret, she began saving money from her growing TikTok earnings to repay her husband’s gesture, finding the perfect 2020 Toyota Tacoma just a few weeks after posting her viral video.
Since gifting the truck, the couple’s lives have only gotten better. Vahedian's photography business is taking off, enabling them to make a down payment on a house. Initially uninterested in social media, Eberson has now embraced it, appearing in Vahedian’s TikTok videos and keeping track of their progress. Looking back on their journey, the couple expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and how their lives have been changed by the power of social media.
